The test of democratic and Quebec values is now mandatory to obtain the CSQ
Now mandatory for all foreign nationals wishing to settle in Quebec on a permanent basis, the test of democratic and Quebec values is now indispensable to obtain the Certificat de Sélection du Québec (CSQ).
This new condition applies to the following economic immigration programs :
- the Regular Skilled Worker Program;
- the Quebec Experience Program
- the Entrepreneur Program;
- the Self-Employed Program;
- the Investor Program.
To pass the online exam, you will need to have at least 15 correct answers out of 20. If you fail, you will be able to retake the exam up to 3 times or follow a 24-hour objective integration session.
Composed of multiple choice and true or false questions, the subjects covered are gender equality, secularism and the rights and duties of citizens. You will have 60 days from the time you receive the invitation to prepare for the session; for this, the government has made a practical learning guide available in several languages (English, French, Spanish and Mandarin) that is accessible to everyone online.
